Q: What do I wear during a treatment?
A: We will provide you with a loose-fitting top and pants for a traditional Thai massage. If you are more comfortable, you can bring your own loose-fitting top and bottom. For an aromatherapy massage or herbal massage you will undress, but your therapist will have your body draped with a sheet at all times, except for the area being worked on.

Q: Should I tell my massage therapist about any medical conditions, medications or allergies?
A: Yes! You will fill out a client intake form when you first check-in for your appointment. You must indicate any health conditions that your therapist should be aware of on the form. The therapist will review the form prior to starting the massage and may ask you some questions about any medical conditions (recent injuries, surgery, sore areas, allergies, etc.) prior to starting the massage. However, please feel free to bring up any medical conditions or concerns with your therapist before or during your massage. We rely on you to inform your therapist of any health conditions that the therapist should be aware of that may affect your massage treatment.

Q: Should I tell my therapist the type of pressure (strong, medium or soft) I am comfortable with for my massage?
A: Yes, you should. You can indicate the level of pressure you want during the massage on the client intake form you complete when you first check-in for your appointment. However, if at any time during the massage you are not comfortable with the level of pressure your therapist is using (either too soft or too strong), please let your therapist know immediately, so he or she can adjust the level of pressure being used for your massage.

Q. Can I chat with my therapist during the massage?
A. We have an open environment at all three Suchada locations – massage rooms are separated by curtains, so in consideration of other people receiving massages at the same time we ask that conversation with your therapist be limited to specifics of the massage treatment. However, we absolutely encourage to speak to you therapist during the massage if there is anything about your massage that is not quite right or needs to be adjusted.

Q: What are your hours?
A: The following are the hours of operation for each of our locations:
Suchada Thai Massage: 38 Bryant Street: Monday through Sunday 9:30 am to 8:00 pm
Suchada Thai Massage: 690 King: Monday through Sunday 9:00 am to 9:00 pm
Suchada Herbal Spa: 2 Division Street: Monday through Sunday 12:00 pm to 10:00 pm

Q: Are you open every day of the year?
A: We are open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas days.

Q: How can I make an appointment?
A: You can make an online appointment at any time by visiting [insert URL for MindBody appointment]. However, if you are more comfortable speaking to a live person, please choose the location where you would like to have your massage treatment and give us a call to confirm availability. Also, if you would like to request a particular therapist, please let our receptionist know when you make your appointment and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Q: What if I am late?
A: Our goal is to provide the most flexible, reasonable and fair business practices. When you arrive late, you will receive a full session if there is no appointment scheduled immediately after your scheduled time. However, if another session is scheduled to start immediately, your session will be cut short and, depending upon the situation we may give a partial refund.

Q: What I have to cancel an appointment?
A: We use the honor system. When you make a reservation we reserve time exclusively for you. If you must cancel your appointment, please notify us at least three hours before your scheduled time so we can schedule another client to take your place. For group of four or more please notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled time to avoid being charged.
Your credit card number is required to hold your reservation when you book an appointment for three or more people or you have a record of “no-shows”, last minute cancellations or cancellation less than three hours and we are unable to fill your time slot. The cancellation fee is $25 per hour/per person.

Q: Should I tip?
A: Our therapists appreciate a gratuity for a job well done. Generally, tips are 15-20% or more of the charge for the massage service. Tips can be paid in cash after the massage – we provide envelopes at the receptionist desk for that – or added to the charge if you are paying by credit card.

Q: Can I buy a gift certificate?
A: Yes, gift certificates can be purchased from the receptionist at each of our three locations or online at www.SuchadaThaiMassage.com. Gift certificates are not refundable but are transferable and can be exchanged for other services at the same value. The gift certificate must be presented at the time of check-in. No credit or change will be given on unused portion of certificate. Gift certificates may be replaceable if proof of purchase is provided.

Q: Is parking available?
A. Yes, street and lot parking is available at all three locations. At 38 Bryant Street there is free two-hour parking on Main Street (around the corner from 38 Bryant Street) and on Beale St. Other streets have metered parking. There are also parking lots on Bryant Street and on Embarcadero directly across from the 38 Bryant Street location operated by Impark (rates vary depending upon the day). At 2 Division Street and 690 King Street free parking is generally available on the streets around these two locations (easier to find after 5 pm during the week and on weekends). There are also outdoor paid parking lots within three blocks of these locations (rates vary depending upon the day) and indoor parking around the corner on Townsend Street.
